Recipe for fly spray

I may have missed a thread about this sometime, but does anyone have a recipe for fly spray that one can make and use? I have tried various products through the years since we got horses and know that i have heard that you can make your own that is safe to use.

1 part skin-so-soft from avon, 1 part vinegar and 1 part water with some drops of eucalyptus oil .
1 part meaning 1 cup and drops of oil.

I have found Pyrahana spray in a yellow bottle works very well

I know that this is very late...but we use something a bit different that works well for ticks and mites too
1/3 Skin So Soft
1/3 White Vinegar
1/3 Dawn dish washing liquid
We use this on the horses and on ourselves and have never had a problem with ticks, mites, or flys.
In the barn we use a pinesol water mixture like you would for cleaning. Flys HATE it for some reason and right after spraying in the aisle way the flys clear out.

whole cloves of garlic in the bottom of a spray bottle
a cup of cider vinegar
a cup of water
citranella

leave over night for the garlic to drown and that always seems to work pretty well for me, very pungeant when you 1st spray but soon dies down
