Tornadoes over my way!

Just checking in to let you know we are ok. Tornadoes ripped through various parts of southeastern Virginia this evening. We had hard rain, but nothing else. Our courthouse area has a load of trees down and less than a 1/4 mile from me a family lost some outbuildings and the roof of their barn. Lots of trees uprooted in their yard. Parts of their barn roof are lodged about 50 feet in the air (stuck in trees). I feel awful for the homeowners---the lady told me she had to put a horse down yesterday evening due to illness and now today---a catastrophe like this. Not a good week so far for them. Suffolk got hit really bad and a few other areas---but we are fine. Tornadoes are so scary. We had one come through during Hurricane Isabel. Thankfully, it missed us this time. Take care!

Wow... Tornadoes are definately horrific, I'm glad you got missed and I bet your are, too. Count your blessings, that's for sure.
