Trainers

Can anyone PM me a good, caring barrel horse trainer? I don't have anything to send yet, I just want to be ready.

I will ask around. I only personally know of one and I would not send anything to him There has to be someone that knows of someone, though. Have you looked in the horse trader that you can buy at feed stores etc? Do you all get that where you are ? It is called Horse and Livestock Trader Magazine.

I think everybody in the surrounding 4 states gets the livestock trader. I use to sell quite a few from there. Good trainers are so hard to find. I know of WP trainers, thats what I use to do. But not barrel trainers. There has to be some, you can't tell me that everyone in VA and NC trains their own.

joustinggirl, I'm in the same boat you are. I've got a 2 year old (Bandit) that I'd like to send off to get barrel trained. Possibly Pepper and/or Roper, but definately would like to see how Bandit works out.

I just ran across a barrel trainer in Pomeroy, Ohio. I don't know if they are close to you.

I know of a woman in my area that does training on the barrels, I was going to send Logan to her but I had already found my problem with Logan. I may send my two year old when she turns three... But she's in Stafford/Fredericksburg area. Someone recommended me to her, I have yet to talk to her, but if you'd like more information I can do so.
