My sister has a resale project that she will let go cheap. Youngish QHX mare. Small, may be 14.2. Has been round penned and has had a saddle and person on her. Has been quiet. I have not seen personally work. She does have a scar on her rear leg but it does not affect her ability at all. I will try to get pictures up.

Well, I suppose it's time to update my sales list again. Dun and the Filly have been sold, but we still have a few to offer.

Freedom:
3 yo (July 4) draft/qh stallion (but doesn't act like it), 16.3 h, very sweet, has been played with but not really worked
$600(negotiable)

Strawberry Shortcake:
2 yo (March) draft/paint mare, 14.3 h, would excel in a one person home, great ground manners, has been saddled and ground driven.
$800 (slightly negotiable)

Sport:
4 month old solid paint colt (APHA), will probably mature around 15.1-2, leads, ties, picks up feet.
$800

Coal (a.k.a. Whiskers):
2 month old draft/(solid)paint cross, has great bone and is full of character, leads, ties, picks up feet.
$600 alone
$1300 as a three-for-one package with his dam (belgian/percheron) in foal to the same stud for an '09 foal

My sister also has a dead broke older grade gelding. He was used for years as a trail mount for a girlscout camp. They bought him for their physically/mentally handicapped son. Jeremy rides and handles this horse himself, they went to the fun show last weekend and did all sorts of classes, even the barrel race. He is a very sweet horse that would be perfect as a confidence builder or even if someone just wanted a solid safe trail mount. If anyone is interested I can check on price. They are selling him because Jeremy really liked the ranch show and wants to get a horse that can do some cow work.

This horse was sold....

Hewey, 12.2hh 4 year old shetland cross (possible chincoteague) Paint Pony gelding. UTD on shots, coggins, farrier and worming care. EASY keeper, anyone can lead him and mess with him. I have sat on him and rode him around bare-back, however I am a bit to big for his smaller frame and don't want to stress him. He would make a cute lead-line, driving pony or companion, gets along well with foals, mares and geldings. No know bad habits, illnesses, ailments or lameness.

**SALE PENDING, OUT ON TRIAL FOR WEEK**

Registered APHA Mare, Bay with three socks, blaze dorsale stripe and faint shoulder markings. Stands at about 15.3H, easy keeper, brood-mare prospect. Owner doesn't want her to come home so she must go asap, anyone out there able to help? No beginners please, she's not broke at current time(has been rode 6 years ago) but selling as un-broke, prefer breeding home as owner might buy baby. SOLD Collette of NEW YORK!

I'm bringing this post back up to the front so some of the newer members will see that we have a section for "sale horses and "looking for" horses.

Wish I had seen this earlier!

I know that the farm has two horses for sale.

There's Ringo, who's a 15 yo 14.1hh tricolored(bay) POA gelding. He's absolutely fine when ridden, but gets a little sour in the stall. We think he just needs a change of scenery often, as well as one consistent rider.

Ringo:

There's Chester who is a 20yo Morgan pitch black gelding. Not sure on his height.. I'd guess 15.5hh. I can check on that and price. He's being sold because he's very fast. He's an awesome lead trail horse, but freaks when is put behind another horse.

Chester:

I have read several places that you are calling him a POA. Is he spotted like a pinto or an App. POAs have Appaloosa characteristics. It is short for Pony of the Americas. I did see an app-like pony on the website, but he did not look tri-colored.

Looking for a gelding, tri-colored Paint. 15.3 to 16 hands. Good home, good references for hubby. I know you can't ride color (can't tell him a thing) he is very specefic on what he wants, must be broke to ride and gentle.

He's a tobiano bay paint POA, as far as I know.

Updated sales list:
All reasonable offers considered, please pm for any more info or pics

We still have Freedom (now coming 4 yo), draft/qh gelding. Halter broke and sweet as can be.

Whiskers: yearling (May baby), paint/draft colt, stands 14.2 hh at 9 months old. Leads, loads, ties, lunges a bit, picks up feet, great mind and personality. Would make a great foxhunting prospect.

Sadie's filly: Reg APHA (solid), fun little bay filly with two "holy" socks, loads of personality. By the time she leaves, she will be able to lead, load, tie, and pick up feet.

We are wanting to purchase 2-3 safe horses in the general Northern VA area. Preferably large ponies, but anything up to 16.3 is just fine. :P We want something that is kid-safe-- our old man we could put anyone on recently passed on due to an impaction. I have pics of the farm and excellent references available. I have exhausted all of the classified sites I can find. Everyone I have contacted has fallen through.

For sale we have Chester-- black morgan gelding, 15.0, easy to handle, bathes, clips, ties, etc.. but is VERY fast. Tends to prance. I think we want $900 for him.

Will keep an eye out for you. A friend of mine deals in horses and he is given some practically every week that he rehomes. What is your price range?
