Reputable Vet (Fredericksburg/Stafford)

I'm looking for a Reputable vet... We've been through two vets in the last 5 years, both of which we've had for over 2 years each and suddenly all return calls have been dropped and we've pretty much been ignored

If I needed a vet ASAP I would be screwed because I can't even get a return call for my mare who has mastitis (which is being treated by myself at this point) or not too long ago when my horse got an injury I had to suffice with talking to his Assistant and her telling me what to do with the wound versus the vet tending to it! To boot it took him 4 hours to get to me while my horse was down with severe colic. I understand vets have emergencies, but still. I'm going to lose a horse if I can't find one I can trust to at least return calls.

I'm in Fredericksburg/Stafford area so if anyone knows of a good vet, please send me a PM with the information, I really do need one that I can trust to last longer than a year. We've never had issues with payment (we pay on departure) nor do we nag, so I cannot seem to understand what it so difficult. I don't know enough equine medical to even fathom taking arms up by myself, plus we need fall shots.

Thank ya

I'm not sure if they serve your area, but I've heard many good things about this place, and few bad things, too...but more good than bad.

If they don't serve that area, there have to be a few down there, there are soooo many horses between where you are and where I am that there have to be several decent vets in practice. (unless there are wayyyy too many horses and not nearly enough vets)
