Karate point fighting. Tore my ACL doing a traditional kick that really has no use in fighting, surgery is Oct. 9th.

Thanks, it actually did not hurt much at all. The swelling is what hurt a little. Its as good as it could be, only the ACL, no meniscus or any other real damage. Just inconvenient to be out and not 100% for 6 months. I'm not a patient person.

Piece of cake! Stop taking the pain meds Sat night, they were interfering with my eating! Was up and around Sat as well. Has not been painful, doing my exercises. I go for my recheck and to get the stitches out on Monday. I will be in the big brace for 2 more weeks and I think I get to start PT next week too! I just hope the ending result has been as good as the recovery has been so far.
