Henderson’s PRCA Rodeo

RIDING HIGH
Henderson Daily News
Friday April 11, 2008

Saddle bronc riding was only one of the contests in which professional
cowboys competed at the opening night of Henderson’s PRCA Rodeo
at the Rusk County Expo Center. The three-day event continues through
Saturday. Thursday’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink performance drew a
larger weeknight crowd than usual according to officials with the
Rusk County Rodeo Association, which sponsors the rodeo in conjunction
with the Henderson Lions Club.

I went to a rodeo in Hopkins County a couple of weeks ago. They had some smaller horses (I hesitate to call them ponies) that bucked like absolute FIENDS!! It was SOOOOO cool!

I like bull riding, too. I like the events when the animal gets to win!!!

One steer wrestler ate dirt when he threw himself off of his horse at the calf and the calf stopped.

Like I said, I like it when the animal wins...that's why I don't rodeo!!

Well then, you would love Penning. The calves were rolling back into the herd at the last show, beating teams at the hole, wing and swing. Coming back... repeatedly...
