Snow... In March?

You've got to be kidding!

Yesterday it was in the 70's, or close to it. Tomorrow it's going to be in the upper 60's... But, today? They're predicting snow...

What's going on here?

If I remember correctly... we had snow last Easter. Weird!

The biggest snow I can ever remember was in mid-March. I sure hope they are wrong about this one!

My pear trees are just getting ready to burst into bloom. If we get that cold, I'll have no pears this fall.

It's snowing here right now! This weather is nuts. Last night we were watching for tornadoes and today we are ice skating. Crazy weather...

It's quit raining here, but we still have that screaming north wind. We got 2.75 inches of rain, which we needed, but I would have preferred it to stay in the 70's instead of drop to the 30's & 40's!

Hey, how did the 3" of rain help you? Ours ran in rivers off the fields into the ditches and roads, trying to take me with it! I mean, literally, rivers. Poor goaties didn't eat this morning because 30 mph North winds, thunder, lightening, and pouring rain mean they don't come out of their hut! It was pretty scary driving, too.

How's Promise Ranch getting upper 60's tomorrow? I'm still looking at 50's!

Whine, whine, whine and block the idea of snow!

Our ponds are full, but from the looks of things, it didn't run off too bad. Our pastures are terraced from when this used to be a cotton farm many moons ago, so our runoff is usually pretty controlled, unless we get a flood.

The thermometer shows that it's 41 out but it sure doesn't feel it! Calves are all standing around the hayring and the horses are all either in their shelters are behind them to get away from that blasted wind!

Uh... I could have misunderstood the news... I'm never sitting very long, and only catch it in passing...

Or, maybe it was wishful thinking!

Had lots of high winds and rain here today.
Been in the 70s, but in the morning the temp is
suppose to be around 33 and the high is only 50, with wind chills
in the 20s, but lots of sun, if that helps

All I know is I am soooo tired of the wind! It was awful last night, storms and talk of possible tornados. And so windy today, with some snow. It's finally calmed down tonight. Supposed to be 58 tomorrow, and I sure hope it makes it!

Disappointed...

So, we got some snow. There's mostly mud, and a light dusting on top, in areas... If it's gonna snow, I want snow, dangit! I was excited for my 2 year old to see her first snow, but It's going to be muddy and gross...

Umm...drive a few miles down the road to Blue Ridge. There's about 4 inches here and it's still below freezing!

We got about 2 inches at my house. Not bad, really, the wind has been absolutely terrible! I'm so tired of wind!

I have to say, though, school had a late start and I typically go by the schools in my area if I am going to call in. The schools by me didn't even have a late start and my back road was actually in good shape. About 15 miles up the road, the temperature dropped about 6 degrees and suddenly, I was on a sheet of ice! For about 10 miles, I was driving 20mph on the worst road conditions I've seen in a LONG while. I used driving skills I haven't used since I moved to Texas.

If I could've turned around, I sure as heck would've. YUCK!!!

Seriously, PR, you want to see snow? Come further east and north....

We got between 3 & 4 inches at our house. It started around 6:30 with sleet and turned to snow. It is going to be a muddy nasty mess in a few hours. It's above freezing now, so the snow will soon be gone.

Bandit is fascinated by it. He drove me crazy last night wanting out. I was up and down with him all night long. He's been outside playing in it all morning.

We had a light dusting of snow last night, and we may get more on Friday.

Guh! We didn't get much snow for our troubles, but we made it through. I had a newborn goatie I was worried about, but he and mama were warm in their hut...

Now, with this next round of "Wintry" weather scheduled for tomorrow night into Friday, I've got a lot of work to do to get ready!

GUH!
