A spark today would burn off everything around here. The wind is screaming!

That's for sure! The other night right after that cold front brought 30+mph sustained winds with gusts about 50mph a fire started. Everything was fine when I was outside with the horses. Went inside Mom and Dad's house (I keep my boys at the farm) to grab a bite to eat. About 20 minutes after that, I walked to the french doors to look outside. Holy Moly, I was shocked at what I saw! Just a couple miles east northeast was a blazing wildfire! You could see the flames whipping around in the wind, and with each gust the fire got bigger and bigger. Turns out our local volunteer fire department was dispatched to another fire in the southern part of the county and was no where near this one. Me, being nosy because I used to live over in that general direction drove over to see if my old place had caught fire. Nope, it was another two miles over. I couldn't believe how vivid the flames were, even from the farm.
