tack shops

We are making a trip from Austin to Nacogdoches, and wanted to know if anybody knew of any tack shops along the way.

We will be taking Hwy 79 to Hwy 7 to Crocket and onto hwy 21 to Nac.

My mom just bought my daughter an older 14.5 inch Circle Y --almost perfect condition with silver trim. It is such a beautiful saddle and so well made at .............a pawn shop!! The price was just $300 including tax. Don't be afraid to explore all possibilties!!

Could you list or pm me a list of tack shops in the DFW area? I am going to head down there to buy a saddle in the next few weeks. I was really planning on going to Weatherford to look at Teskey's, but I would like to look around some before I spend the money.

You know about them, I thought we were the only ones. THey are so cheap on stuff and have a great selection of saddles. I actually ride a 4T saddle right now(its my moms) and my siister has one of theirs. I am waiting until I have enough money to spend before I take my saddle up there and trade it in on another. I wish I were closer, its like a 4 hour drive

Western or English? I'm thinking that you ride western so I will list those that I know of. If you ride English, just let me know and I will list those as well.

Teskey's definitely has a huge selection but if you are going to be in Weatherford, there are several shops in the area

There is another place in Weatherford, but I haven't been there. It's called Davids Western Store & Saddle Shop: http://www.nrsworld.com/davids/index.html

Calvin Allen Saddlery is in Weatherford as well: http://calvinallensaddlery.com/contact.shtml

Luskey's/Ryons is in Weatherford: http://www.luskeys.com/our_locations.cfm
They also have a Sean Ryon in the Fort Worth stockyards:
http://www.seanryon.com

Horseman's Supply is in Weatherford: http://horsemensupply.com/

Sergeant's Western World is a very large store as well. I really like this place. They specialize in western but have a small english dept as well. They are located in Arlington, TX: http://www.sergeantswestern.com/

I hope this helps! Happy saddle shopping
