Went to a horse sale

Last Saturday, we went to a horse sale in Taylor, I wanted to stock up on brushes, halters etc.

Well we stayed for a few horses and the first horse the ran through was blind. He was pretty and people had been riding him, but he sold for $11. I wanted so bad to take him home but I have no idea how to care for a blind horse.

A few babies went throught, then this bag of bones walked in that they had no info on becasue the Sherriff found her running the side of the roads. This is a pretty populated area and someone just turned her lose. No worries about her being a darker bay and almost invisble in the night and there being windy curvy roads. She could have been hit by Chris and I and we could have been killed and her almost for sure. What were these people thinking. She went for $55.

I can only hope those 2 aren't in Mexico right now. We had toleave after that.

We go early to auctions to cut back on impulse buying. Too many nice horses going for pennies.

Yeah, there was a little red roan baby that had a nice body to him, but I would be killed if I brought a horse home to my parents. But I have already told Chris that when we get our own place and can aford it, I want to take on a horse or two for rescue. That mare that was dumped had nothing wrong except needign a few pounds and prolly a teeth float. She was older but still she was pretty and I bet she could ride. I just hope we get the chance to save a life or two

That poor mare. I know, it's so sad how bad things have gotten. We went to the one in Duncan last weekend, but didn't buy anything. Everything there was in pretty good condition. It was a pony and Ranch horse sale.

But the other one we go to, it's not as good, there's usually a few of those kind going through.
