OK Horse Fair

Hey guys! I was just wondering if any of you were going to attend the Oklahoma Horse Fair in Duncan, OK coming up in February. Also, if anybody went last year, what did you think?

I went last year and had a really good time. A friend and I both took horses over and participated in a clinic by Curt Pate. It was very informative and helpful, just not enough actual riding time. I attended the ranch horse competition and sale and the select horse sale. Couldn't believe how high (and low) some of the horses were selling for.

We'll probably go over too. It's only a half hour from us. We went last year, but only to pick up a couple horses some friends of ours bought. Some of those horses went for a lot, I couldn't believe it. Usually the pony sale is really good too, but it wasn't last year. Our friends were looking for ponies too.

It's about that far for us too. We went looking for my mom a good gentle riding horse. Found a nice gelding, but the kid PO'd him and then wouldn't even talk to us at the stall. We were willing to pay quite a bit more until the kid copped an attitude. Kinda discouraging, but we are going to try again this year.

It's not fair to all the people who are dying to do it for you!!
