Christmas plans

I just wanted to know what everyone was planning on doing for Christmas, where you are going, who are you visiting, stuff like that.

This will be the first year we don't have "christmas" on Christmas. My older sister has to work the rest of the week and it's an 8 hour drive, so we will be doing it the weekend before or after. I really don't know what to do on Christmas day except run from house to house as fst as you can. It will be weird to just sit at home and relax for a whole day

We will be spending Christmas at home this year - just too far and too expensive to drive to relatives.. Our son and his girlfriend will come over for gifts and dinner, but it will be a nice quiet and relaxing day..

I think we are staying home this year as well. We'll have a a big family dinner and exchange gifts. I almost always make a visit to the stable so I can give all the horses a treat too. The last of my grandparents died last year so its strange not going to see them.

We'll have 3 of our 4 children home for Christmas day, along with our son in law and grandson. The day after Christmas, my husband and I will drive 8 hours to visit our oldest son, his fiance, our parents, grandparents, and siblings.

The day before Christmas we go to my Mother & Father's in laws house for dinner.
It will be my Husband and I, our two sons, our two grandsons.
My Husband's three brothers, their wives and children.
That makes.... uh... at least 22 people at the party.
We draw names, and everyone buys one person a gift.
We eat until we cannot move, and watch TV.
Then its time to open our gifts.

We spend Christmas day at home.
This year our grandsons will be with us.
So it will be my Husband and I, our sons and grandsons this year.
We get up early, eat a nice breakfast, then attack the presents under the tree.

On New Years we have Christmas at my Mom's house.
Again we exhange gifts and have a nice meal.

We split Christmas Eve, between hubbys parents,
and mine. I'm a home body, so I like to spend Christmas Day
at home with just the three of us, me, huuby, and son.
We have always done it this way.

We are going to my mom's on the 23rd and having my family's Christmas. We will have a meal and a wonderful time. We are staying home on Christmas day. The morning we will spend with just the girls and later in the afternoon, the MIL will be down with her husband. So I'll be fixing supper that day. Can't wait!

I'm sure the FIL and icewoman will want to meet up with us sometime too, but I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

Oh trust me there are very valid reasons. And it's not just me she's been bad too. I could care less how she feels about me. Should have worded that differently though, sorry about that!

This is my first Christmas away from home. Yeah, sad. I'm 30 and this is the first year I won't spend it with my mom, dad and sister.

We're staying here in Kansas. Beyond that, dunno WHAT we're doing. He ordered a smoked turkey and he wants to do a ham (there's only 3 of us here!). I don't cook, but I'll bake a pie or two I guess.

Time for us to start making new traditions I guess.

We're having our Christmas early this year. James is comming from ND on the 13 of Dec and we're having "Christmas" on the 16. Amanda is (hopefully, if she can get off work) comming over and spending the weekend (15-16th) We'll open our presents to each other the morning of, then go to my parents house, eat, and open more presents. I do Thanksgiving, Mom does Christmas. I'll be baking pies to bring over. James leaves Tx on the 20th to fly back to ND and immediately drive with Christie to MD where her family is from. Unfortunately, Christie doesn't have enough leave to come to Tx and go to MD. But there will be other Christmas's

I have to work Christmas Eve (night) at the hospital so I'll probably sleep most of the "real" Christmas day.

Both mine and my husband's parents are divorced, so we have to have 3 Christmases (my parents get along, his dont). Soooo, on the 15th we see FIL, he and his wife will come to OUR house!!!! Christmase Eve and day, my mom, dad, and brother are coming to OUR house! Then on the 30th we got to MIL's. So we have Christmas for about 2 weeks.

But this year, we're not racing all over the state!
