How far would you drive?

I am considering driving to Alexandria, Mn. To have one of my arabs bred to a stud. My wife thinks i have lost my mind. Wondering how far some of you have drove. Here is the link to the stud . He is a looker. http://sprucehollowarabspintos.homes...intabians.html

What do you all think? I know i would have to get a horse hotel on the way there and back. Do you think it is to far?

Personally I would not drive more than 100-200 miles to breed my mare. Just from the stress of the trip to the mare and myself for that matter. Plus there are a lot of stallions that will do shipped semen too.

I agree, I would much rather do AI than risk the time, $$ and my mares health.
