Thankgiving Dinner

So its a Thanksgiving tradition in my family to go to a buffett for dinner "read no one wants to cook".

But we're fairly new to Texas, only lived here for two years. Anyone know of any places that offer a fairly nice dinner in the Houston area?

I don't know about buffets, and it's been a while since I lived in Houston, but I'll take Ruths Chris above just about anything else. We used to go down to Kemah a lot, too - there are some nice restaurants down there.

One of our nicest Thanksgivings was when we went to Galveston for the Thanksgiving weekend at a hotel and had a huge Thanksgiving spread - as it is their "off" season, they really did it up right to get some guests. Had the whole beach virtually to ourselves, too...

Don't know about the houston area, but I do love Moody Gardens in Galveston. I will have to remember that tip for maybe next year

Just for all around fun-loving, what about Katz's?

I'm from the Austin area, where Marc opened up the first one, and we did Thanksgiving there a few years ago and had a fantastic time. The food is FANTASTIC and the atmosphere's really relaxed; and, unless I'm mistaken, his son opened one in Houston several years ago.

Just a thought

We're planning on hitting the Katz's in Austin post-Thanksgiving (probably on BlackFriday) because it's just so darn good.

"Plus, I gotta tell ya-Katz's NEVER Closes!"
