Penning/Sorting in Northeast Texas

We have a church right by us that is starting up Penning and Sorting practices...hopefully moving on to competitions next summer. You don't have to be a member to participate! Current Coggins and release of liability are required.

We're doing our first feedlot sorting tomorrow night at 6:30 - no fee. The cattle are horned as they were used for roping.

Trust me, beginners are more than welcome as I am a RANK beginner and I will be there!

PM me for directions!

Range, will you post the other events, etc., here as well?

I'd love to know when they are. I could dust Ol' Ruth off, and see if she would enjoy following some cows around...

It went great for a first time practice! We had lots of people! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Only hitch was in the beginning when the cows were chalked with their numbers - couldn't see them. It was fixed, though.

Next one is at 2pm on Sunday - supposed to be cloudy, but 70's.....

I LOVE the Wildfire arena. I do keep an eye on what they have going on, unfortunatly, I'm banned from going there becuz I drool over the Bloomer trailers. Chris is afraid I might just buy one one of these days
