It's cold here, too! And a cold rain has been falling all day.

Yep here too, I just made sure the dog house had plenty of straw. Threw the horses an extra flake of hay, since it was what in the 80s yesterday?

Raining and cold here also.
Got soaked at FIL, when we went to the back pasture
to check on the calves and put out range cubes.
Happy about the cooler weather, but could do without the rain.

And that dang wind! I put the horses up because they haven't fuzzed up enough for this wind, cold, and rain! Spoiled, I know....

I wore my Carthart to feed this morning.

You'll not hear me complain about rain. Three years of drought whipped that out of me. And, with this being the typical time for the fall rainy season, I'm glad to see it's on schedule!

Now, you may hear me whimpering about the mud...

Truly, I'm not complaining about the rain. Just the cold. And the wind.

I would rather have this chilliness, instead of being slicked down with sweat 24/7. I love it, its a beautiful day today in Rusk--sunny blue skies, and nice/crisp air. I COULD do without the wind...

Yep, rain is okay in my book. But, I don't like the mud. And, I sure don't like the cold and the wind!

I actually like to sweat....

I have fantasies of living in sand instead of black mud.

The cooler weather is nice but I have to agree hate dealing with the mud. We have two outside paddocks that are black dirt and they are horrible to dredge through without losing a boot. If these two get two bad I just bring the horses inside the barn so I don't have to deal with it. Plus I figure the horses dont like it either!

YES! Born and raised in the beautiful desert sand in Las Vegas, Nevada... I dream of it constantly. Not to mention BLM land everywhere, where you could ride forever!

Sand... *sigh*

Oh, and they're always in a drought... Less than 9" annual rainfall, but it's ok...

Mud... *gags*

Y'all have the sand dreams to? And I though I was the only one. I hate the black mud. Last year, we were feeding and my brother got his mud boot stuck in the mud. We had to let it dry and dig it out later. Kinda funny to watch him hop back though

I'm starting to wonder if all you folks with "sand" dreams aren't really just cats hunting for big ol' litterboxes?

I hate the mud myself. I don't mind rain, but loathe this cold, blowing crudola.

I hates it!
