| If you just need to get him out, you may want to look at local western shows that have halter classes. You probably won't win anything, but you will get him off the property and into the ring for less than $10 or $20. I know that Prince George's EC hosts shows through MSA that offer a few "model" classes that are a step between backyard and national level. The USEA has a new Future Event Horse program. Horses are shown individually. There are quite a few in MD, VA, and PA. Yes, the bigger classes at Upperville and Devon are fun, but you should have some experience before tackling those. Check the USAE website for hunter-breeding classes, there's more than just Devon and Upperville. Good Luck! http://useventing.com/competitions.php?section=feh http://www.usef.org/_IFrames/competi...chResults.aspx Last edited by instigatorkate : 11-14-2008 at 01:31 PM. |
