Super Cheap Hay at Weaverland Auction in PA

Hey guys,

Just wanted to pass along that hay was going very cheap today at Weaverland Auction in Lancaster County PA. I only stayed for a few loads since I bought one pretty quickly, but price per ton was almost $100 less than it was at New Holland on Monday. I bought 3.62 tons of small square baled 2nd cut grass hay, clean, dry, and sound for $170/ton. Same load was selling for $260-$270+/ton on Monday. Someone else before me lucked out with 2 tons of grass hay for $150/ton. Auction is every Thursday at 10.

Anyways, hope that helps some people out! Hay can be tricky to buy this time of year.

Instagatorkate THANKS!! That's a WONDERFUL heads up!! Your right, sure is hard to find hay this time of year, especially the small square bales. I really appreciate your post, thanks again!

Hay can be tricky to buy this time of year. __________________ Getting through PA School is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see a couple feet in front of you at a time, but you can drive the whole distance like that.
