$175 choice of stall or not, bring your own grains.

$195 and I'll grain your horse from my bins.

I also treat all horses as though they were mine. I feed, clean stalls, treat minor scrapes and cuts and medicate. Blankets/masks on/off, free choice hay yr round, arena and I have an on site instructor that comes once a week.

For outside board, Kathy and I were paying $200.00 p.m. each. That included free choice hay (round bale) all year round if needed. That was an exceptional deal.

Normally it is approx. $350.00 for full board (includes ex # flakes of hay a day, grain in the a.m. and p.m. I believe, and turn out each day).

Outside board approx. $250.00. Includes pasture/freechoice hay.

All areas are different. Where you live may be a bit more as I believe Cambridge can be more expensive than the Brantford area.

Are you going to be taking on boarders? I thought you already did. I must have misunderstood.

I just was curious.

I do have boarders and our board is 240.00 inside board ~ everything included ( stalls cleaned daily, turnout, hay inside and out, two customized grain feedings, blankets & fly masks on/off, injuries treated, medication/needles given if needed etc) I even provide treats

175.00 outdoor includes pature, hay and all the above except stall and grain feedings although I will feed your horse grain twice daily if you provide it or arrange to pay extra. Horses have a huge run in area attached to the barn that was part of the old indoor they started to tear down and then left 1/2 of it attached to the barn afterall so we use it as a run in for the horses to get out of the heat/cold/wet when they are out.

Basiclly we treat the boarders horses like we treat our own.

I just wondered what other got or included in their board.

I'm pretty sure we are the cheapest around our area for what we provide.

In January, our prices will go up to $100 for outdoor (no grain, just hay and water) and $200 for indoor (hay, oats, water, stall).

board where my horses are is $2/day May-November and $4/day December to April-we provide our own grain and they get free choice hay. However, I will be glad when I get my own place.

Well it is time to put your board up and at least make a little bit of money. Why work so hard and get no rewards. I know the animals reward you, but monetary rewards will help to keep you up and running.

I pay $225 in the summer (outdoor board) which includes all the hay he can eat and use of the indoor arena. In the winter months he goes to indoor board and now i pay $300 per month which is grain twice daily, clean stall and hay and use of indoor arena. It is up to me to put on blankets and such.

With my daughter who will be moving to Cambridge come spring time it's very hard for her to find a cheap place to board her horse. She is a student going to college and renting an apartment with her boyfriend.
Paying $300/month for apartment, plus $200-$300/month for board is very hard for a student, let alone other expenses.
Which is why i appreciate boarding fees like Kendra has...

My boarders all working hard to have their horses ~ a couple of them just couldn't do it if I raised the board much.

I'm lucky that they appreciate it and they help with chores etc. ( well except for one 16 year old girl who doesn't bother ) While we were busy with my daughter's wedding they pitched it to finish the new stalls we were putting in and when we came out the next day they were finished.

I have a few lesson kids that help pay some of the bills and I bring in the odd horse for training to help as well.

Trails Mom is your daughter the one who is moving to Hespeler???

yep that is my daughter. she's gotta see if she's getting into college, but she told me your place was a nice place to board at. She is VERY excited, she would have no troubles pitching in when help is needed.

Kendra, if I ever need to board my horses they're going to your place! Sounds like a horsey spa!

Don't know how much of a spa it is (we don't do massages ~ okay maybe a little one along the withers if they are feeling stressed ) but the horses are round and happy and I have the best boarders.
