Local Transport for Horse

We don't own a horse trailer. I've always figured in an emergency we know a few neighbours with trailers that could perhaps be lent out. We finally got an offer on our haflinger mare Honey and they want her delivered this weekend. It's only a half hour drive from us to where she needs to go.

I'm now at the bottom of my list of friends/neighbours with trailers and for one reason or another (shows, out of town for long weekend etc) none of them are available. (Makes me rethink how it'll be for trailer availability in an emergency).

I've got a couple more that I'll talk to tonight but then I'm out of ideas. SoI thought I'd turn to Horsetopia for ideas of people who may do this on short notice. We are located near Guelph/Elora and need to get the horse to a facility in Waterloo.

Send me your ideas!

Send a message via MSN to cowgirlspurs
I was talking to Ed lastnight and he is doing a little bit of trailering in Guelph early early Saturday morning before doing the trailering for me.
google trillium horse transport to track him down.

Me too, me too!

I will also need transportation

I was hoping (more like convinced) the lady who took Mark and sold him a second time would let me use her trailer.. but no such luck. And there's no way I can afford $500 to transport the new mare

I looked up the contact info for Trillium, emailed them right away and heard back from them within two hours with their availability (Sunday) and a price (very reasonable). Thanks cowgirlspurs!! b-mark...Where do you need transport and when? I can forward email and phone number for this company via pm if you'd like.
