Vet Watch

That's what happened yesterday. Appt was for 3pm. I stayed home and waited and waited. My vet has a far-reaching bag phone and a helper so between the two of them someone could have let me know of a delay. At 5:30 I put the horse back in the field. I was delayed from a business appt. Can we sue the vet for a no-show, no call and taking up our valuable time? I'd consider it just on principal.

Was there en emergency that had to be tended to?

I see where you're coming from, but why do that? What if you need the vet in the future? He might just blow you off because of being sued.

I hate that. I have gotten to the point I call the vet just before he is suppose to be there to make sure he is going to be there. Just last week I had an app't scheduled for 1, I called and they were running 2 hours behind.

This happened to us two weeks ago as well. We had an appointment scheduled for 5pm on the Wednesday so I had to leave work to get home for the vet. We called when she hadn't showed up at 6pm and they said not to worry she was delayed and would be here. At 7:30 they called and said sorry she got lost on the way and headed back to their office and wouldn't make it that night. They did come the following night and knocked $10 off the bill for not showing...big deal!!

I can understand when they get called away for an emergency but to not show up because they got lost when they've been here? Unbelieveable!
