Mom's a Haflinger. Stud's a Gypsy Cob...homozygous black & tobiano.

l thought mom was a haflinger, but never would have guessed gypsy cob, is that like the gypsy vanners ?

She's beautiful, l love her colour and her name, Apple, so cute, congrats again on a beautiful and unique baby, here's to mom & Apple

Yes, Gypsy Cob and Vanner are really the same thing. As I'm relatively new to the breed I'm still trying to figure it all out. There are three different Gypsy registries in North America...the Gypsy Cob Society of America, the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association and the Gypsy Vanner Society.

Our yearling colt Alaska was registered with the Gypsy Vanner Society when he was born (because his mom and dad were) and Apple will be registered with the Gypsy Cob society in Class "C" for crosses. (Her sire is registered in this society).

Apparently the two "COB" societies are talking about amalgamation. The Gypsy Vanner society sets themselves apart with their mission of recognizing and honoring the culture of the gypsy people themselves as well as their horses.

Thanks for all the info on the Gypsy breed. Interesting breed, the stallion looks so cute, love all those feathers, and Apple is just getting cuter

I just met this adorable little filly today and let me tell you she has the personality to match her good looks

She is absolutely beautiful and full of spunk and honey(momma) is gorgeous.

Little Apple captured our hearts today.

Thanks for the compliments to Honey and Apple. Of course I had coached them that they'd better be on their best behaviour for the visitors. It was really great to see you today.
