-16 here today, sun was gorgeous but still too darned cold, heard today colder than normal temps for next 4 weeks

Cowgirlspurs l got a new horse Friday, well she's not really new, l raised her from a baby, sold her almost four years ago, new owner was having trouble controlling her weight so she came back to us.

Man was l happy to see her, l missed her every day she was gone, but she is obese, poor girl is so fat, it's effecting her overall health. So she's on a diet and exercise program Hopefully we can bring her back to good health.

Here's a pic of my fat girl ! Got any pics of your new horse ?

I have heard also that colder then normal spring-somebody has mentioned not to put your snow shovels away until May 24. Don't laugh-I have pics from about 2006 where it was snowing May 24 weekend-and there were apple blossoms on the trees

and wow...that mare sure is a little porker lol. I have pics posted on the meet the horses page under new girl in da house.

A balmy -12 at 7 a.m., soon be time to haul out the summer wear. The warmer temps make the snow slippery and treacherous but my paths are now dusted with potting soil which makes for safer walking and is great for the environment. A $2 bag is still half full so I consider it very good value.

Yup, storm coming in, up to 10cm. That's not so bad, before it was at least 10cm.

Wind picked up late yesterday and another dump of snow, about 4" of wet stuff, covering my paths. Now I cant even see them. Summer will arrive about the 10 of July and end in mid August as that is the only time my Arab is completely slicked out - three weeks.

Miserable, miserable winter, there's at least a foot of snow in my driveway, and still coming down. l can't even see the road from my window, snowplows can't keep up, roads and hiways are a mess.

Enough already, l think it's time to pack up and head south, l really do, now l just have to figure out

#1 - how to fit 7 horses in a 2 horse trailer,

#2 - how to fit 3 kids, a dog and a cat in the front of the truck with me

#3 Guess l could just leave a note for my husband telling him l've snapped and headed south.

#4 My destination , that ones easy l'll stop when the grass is green, the sun is shining and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE STUFF IN SIGHT

So what does everyone say, shall we make it a CONVOY
