New Puppies

My daughter's purebred Maltipoo, Belle, had five puppies Tuesday night.

If anyone is interested or knows of anyone that might be interested in purchasing one, please PM me.

She has both parents on premises. They do not have papers because she did not file. They are $200 without papers. She is willing to file if anyone wants a registered puppy, but the fee would be higher.

What registry registers mixed breeds? Seems to defeat the purpose of a registry...which is to premote purebreds and competition events.

Wow! Big litter. If I hear of anyone I'll send them your way.

Is there any chance we can see pics.

draftrider,

Thanks for your question. You may find an answer at www.designerbredregistry.com or www.americancaninehybridclub.com. The puppies are from akc purebred parents. They are "pure" just a mix of 2 pure breds. I imagine it is something like breeding a Paint to a QH. Both parents are pure breeds, the foal is half of both and is registerable.

farmgirl, will post pictures as soon as I have some. Waiting on my daughter to send.

Ahhh, those registries. I have never understood the need to register mixed breeds.... maybe I am missing something. I know the American Mixed breed dog registry registers mixes, but only to allow them to compete in preformance events and the animals must be spayed or neutered to qualify for registration. A nice idea as it allows folks with mixed heritage to compete in fun events, something else fun for pound puppies to do. Somehow though, when a registry (the designer breed registry) promotes the breeding of mixes and hands out titles via video for $50.00 mind you... the spirit seems to turn to a money making venture.
