Have a lot of horses. do a little rescue, have retired horses that are boarded, my arabians and my minis.
My mare is the herd leader..
the oldest horse here is a boarder 381/2
I have 2 children, 3 step children, 5 grandchildren. and a hubby who has been into horses all his life, and is a very knowledgeable horseperson and farrier.
I am glad that we got this forum together.

I graduated in 78. Rode bus #13. 21 +/- kids graduated in my class that year

-Where was the last place you vacationed? NJ We went to see the North Landz miniature train museum. We keep talking about taking another trip but with the farm it's hard to get away.

-How many horses do you have? 6 miniature and 2 Hackney ponies

-If you could change one thing about one of your horses, what would it be? Jumping on me.

-What made you join the New York forum? other new yorkers. seriously though I was asked to join and I figured what the heck I was lurking in the other regions anyways.

I'm a mother of 2, I have 2 grandchildren, I've been married to a cranky old man for the past 28 years. I'm a homemaker, my hobbies are crocheting and HT. I have 7 dogs, umpteen cats , goats, cows, horses, chickens, peacocks (I thought I heard one go crunch while typing this so I ran to the window. Thank goodness I don't have to get a shovel but it was a close call.)
My favorite escape...I love my garden pond with goldfish! Something about the sound of water and the fish swimming so serenely.

My favorite class in H.S. was Biology/Genetics.

As far as food- its a toss up-Lobster or Chocolate.

Our last vacation was on Cape Cod, shopping for a horse.

We currently have one pony and she belongs to my youngest daughter. We hope to have more someday.

If I could change one thing, I wish she could tell us who hurt her and how so she can be happy and confident again.

I joined the forum to meet more people who have horses close to where we
live.

Right now we live in Southern Albany, but we are shopping for a new farm in Greene County.

-If you could change one thing about one of your horses, what would it be? To tell you the truth I don't think I would change anything about him. He's my little man and loves to give mom hugs lately. I have always wanted a sorrel with white on the face and 4 stockings. And that's what I have. Not bad for getting exactly what I wanted with the first horse.

Horses: None right now-working on building barn, creating pasture etc. My last horse went over the rainbow bridge 10 years ago, then things happened and was not able until this past year to start thinking about another horse. Hope to be buying by summer. I can't wait. I can practically smell one!

Yes, I think I am. My husband works in Corning and we are probably 20-30 minutes north of there just off 86. I think Syracuse is about an hour and a half or so... I'm still learning where everything is...
