Is everyone ok?

Just checking to see how everyone is making the storms. So far, they have all gone just north of us and now are south of us. I think it may be a long day.

They just reported 3 fatalities in Damascus and there were 2 in Birdtown. A 15 year old in Siloam Springs was killed very early this am when a tree fell through her bedroom roof.
There was damage in Birdtown, Damascus, Bee Branch, Greers Ferry, Heber Springs.
Now it is down around Hensley, Keo, Hazen, etc.
I hope it will be clear after this line passes.

We're all ok here. The storm that hit Siloam Springs came through here just before 5:00 this morning. The wind was strong and we had a lot of lightning and some rain and hail but thankfully all is well. Well, we did have to go clean up part of a back wall of an old smokehouse that blew out this morning but it's nearly falling down anyway.

All is well for the Kansan here! We just missed it all. I am talking by about 30 miles. Thank goodness! We didnt want any of that LARGE hail on the wheat or my new pasture. Much less on the vehicles. It did get pretty hairy though around Emporia, Eurkeka, and those "areas"....I even think they said there was a tornado maybe down there and also in KCK.....I could tell it was going to be rough when I was finishing chores last night...the sky was really lighting up w/ lightening. I hope everyone else is safe and came through ok.

Dark, windy and rainy around lunch time, then it cleared up. The sun is shining, but it's still very windy. We got very lucky.

I'm 10 miles from Birdtown as the crow flies. I have had too much of this crap. Just this year I've had a direct hit, a 1/2 mile near miss, and a 10 mile miss. I feel like a dang target.

Face I've heard of things "hitting the spot". Could this be a potential hazard to having appys?
