Beginning the Search for Cheyenne's Home

As most of you know, I stopped breeding several years ago, and the last of my last crop (Rambo, Cheyenne, and Cody) are now turning 3.

I have sort of changed directions, and have decided to find Cheyenne a home and then train Rambo and Cody, with the most suitable going to Mrs. Face. I had always planned on using Cheyenne for my personal riding horse, but I have sort of gotten used to Casper and he is probably more suited to me considering my (advanced) age... I also think staying with all geldings at our place will work out better.

Cheyenne's info is as follows:

* Out of registered stock, but not registered as I have deep rooted political differences with ApHC.

* Sire - Diamond Goer, 16.0 ApHC leopard http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/diamond+goer

* Dam - BBF A Little Sassy, 15.1 ApHC chestnut varnish roan
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bbf+a+little+sassy

* Foaled on 3/3/05

* Currently 15.2, 1,000 pounds, and a wide body. She is NOT a small horse. I look for her to mature to 15.3 and 1,100 pounds.

* Disposition - excellent, but she is (to me) a little headstrong and independent and will need a strong hand. She is not a "high spirited" type (none of mine are), but she does have a mind of her own. She is an "in your pocket" horse - perfectly safe, but not particularly respectfull of your "space".

* Training - I don't train mine till they turn 3, so she has limited training. She has NOT been backed, but has been under saddle. She stands well for the farrier, of course is halter trained, although I mostly move mine around with a lead rope around the neck, and bathes just fine with a hose and nozzle. She is physically fully desensitized. However, I would call her basically untrained by most people's standards. I've NOT yet had her on a trailer, so that could be interesting...

*She is a blanketed varnish roan, even though she hasn't colored out much yet, so she will NOT hold this color. She will always have the spotted blanket, but the rest of her will gradually roan out. Officially, she is a blanketed varnish roan.

* Sound to the best of my knowledge, no history of injuries.

A couple of pictures from last year when she turned 2...

Without seeming uppity, I don't really need any money for her, but am just now starting to snuffle around for a home for her, so thought I would post her information here. I will NOT home her to anyone that has never owned horses, has no companion animals, or boards.

She's a pretty, flashy girl. I love the blanket. Finding her a good home should be a piece of cake! Also, I like your requirements.

Just plain BEAUTIFUL. I would love to get her, but just rescued a little filly mare that just turned 2. The owner has Cancer and her breeding program was getting out of hand. Not only did this poor woman have cancer her husband was deployed out of United States and she has two sons ages 2 and 4. She has not idea how long she has, as they found it late. I felt bad so we brought one of hers. Once trained and I know my husband is going to sell her but your horses are gorgeous. You will have no problem selling them and as Mule360 said, I like your requirements also.

She's absolutely stunning. She has got to have one of the prettiest heads I have seen on a young one for awhile. To bad I don't have time to train one, she would be one I would love to break out myself. I hope she finds a wonderful home, I wish I could help, but I need a broke one for Gary.

I have seen this filly in person and she is everything as Face describes.
She is one chunk of a girl with a personality out of this world.
If she had spots like her sire, I would snatch her up.
I want a leopard.

She is one nice, nice filly and will make any one proud to own her.

Weeelllllll since you dont really NEED any money for her you could be a really sweet person and haul her up to southern MO for my birthday next month Lol. Well I can dream atleast. I love her! Ive always been a sucker for appys though. She reminds me of my first horse which was an appy colored just about like her. If I had experience training horses you wouldnt be looking for her a home anymore
