Fun Show in Elsberry Missouri NEW SHOW BILL

I got this email about a fun show in Elsberry Missouri on June 1st if anyone is interested. They had one last year that I went to and watched and it looks like alot of fun and the place is beautiful. Here is the info.

FUN SHOW and

TRAIL RIDE

SUNDAY JUNE 1st 2008

This show is open to everyone whether you are a competitor or a spectator. All breeds of horses are welcome in any class. There will be 8 Ribbons awarded in each class. Trails, Jump Course and Obstacle course will be open to all competitors all day.

Class Schedule

All class times are approximate. Each class will be announced over the loud speakers 10 minutes before the start.

12pm HALTER-GELDING INDOOR ARENA

12:30pm WESTERN PLEASURE-YOUTH INDOOR ARENA

1pm WESTERN PLEASURE-JUNIOR INDOOR ARENA

1:30pm WESTERN PLEASURE-ADULT INDOOR ARENA

2pm LEAD-LINE OUTDOOR ARENA

2pm COUNTRY PLEASURE INDOOR ARENA

2:30pm HUNTER UNDERSADDLE-YOUTH/JUNIOR INDOOR ARENA

3pm HUNTER UNDERSADDLE-ADULT INDOOR ARENA

4pm POLE BENDING OUTDOOR ARENA

4:30pm BARREL RACE OUTDOOR ARENA

ALL DAY OBSTACLE COURSE, JUMP COURSE AND TRAIL RIDE

All horses on property must show current negative coggins test papers at registration.

Hard hats are recommended for everyone to wear and are required if you are under 14 years old.

Parking is available in designated areas. Concessions will be available on site.

DIRECTIONS FROM OʼFALLON, MO TAKE HWY 40 WEST, STAY ON 40 AS IT TURNS NORTH AND TURNS INTO HWY 61 TOWARDS TROY/HANNIBAL, GO ABOUT 30 MINUTES TO HWY B (THERE WILL BE FLASHING CAUTION LIGHTS IN THE HWY) TURN RIGHT ON HWY B, GO ABOUT 4 MILES TO HWY NN AND TURN LEFT, DOUBLE EAGLE RANCH IS ABOUT A ½ MILE DOWN ON YOUR LEFT

DIRECTIONS FROM HWY 70 AND 79, TAKE HWY 79 NORTH TOWARDS HANNIBAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES, YOU WILL ENTER THE TOWN OF ELSBERRY, STAY ON 79 TILL YOU COME TO A 3 WAY STOP AND TURN LEFT ONTO HWY B GO APPROXIMATELY 6 MILES TO HWY NN AND TAKE A RIGHT, DOUBLE EAGLE RANCH IS ABOUT A ½ MILE DOWN ON YOUR LEFT

I hope you can come then we can meet up! This will be my first show so I am going to be nervous plus I may take my three year old depending on how he is doing by then. I plan on putting some time on him this month to start trying to make him more than green broke.

Oh, gollly. Sounds like you have a lot of work to do in a month! I'd love to meet up. I wrote down all the info, I doubt if I'll bring my boy I've never done any "show" type stuff. Although I'd be interested in learning, just for fun.

Yeah I definetely do. I just put everyone in the same area together a few weeks ago so they could eat the roundbale together and of course there were some fights and everyone has bite marks so I am kinda embarrased about that! But the biting has mostly stopped now so hopefully I dont bring bit up horses and everything heals up and grows hair! I have never done shows either and was nervous it was going to be one where you had to be really fancy but its not it actually looks like fun where you dont have to worry about everything being perfect. So dont worry if you decide to come because they are having the trail ride all day too if you want to use their trails. I will probaly only do a few classes myself.
