Donkey Breeders in MO

Does anyone know of a donkey breeder in MO? Not minatures But either the standard size or maybe mammoths? Im looking for something to help me break my calves for the upcoming show season. It would be nice to have a buddy to help drag around one calf while im working with another

Have you looked at any of the horse sales? Not always, but quite often you will find a few donkeys at the sales and they won't cost nearly as much as a breeder.

Necking donkeys huh. I will try that. Thanks everyone. I havent been to the sales yet. Honestly im afraid I might go for a donkey and end up bringing something else home that I really dont need lol. The last few times I have been to the barns though there hasnt been a lot of mules or donkeys at all. Unless they were minis and I would be afraid a mini would just get hurt. But that was last summer sooo I could try that too.

Just going on what I have heard others say (I have never had one myself, but I have seen them used - they were all donkey geldings)....is that a mule won't work, it must be a donkey. I forget the reasoning, maybe something to do with a donkey's more quiet demeanor and tollerance possibly.
