I have been inside all day. I'm not looking forward to the drive home because I will be driving into the wind. It sounds like it is going to blow through the building I work in.

I had to stop at walmart on my way home and the wind had blew over the cart "holder" things and smashed into a couple cars! Carts were flying everywhere smashing into vehicles, it was nuts! I parked my little car between two big ol' trucks for cover

I think I may be becoming a redneck? I found 1/2 a sheet of 1" plywood in the pasture, and felt lucky. I have no idea where it came from. Oklahoma maybe. I hope a few more sheets blow my way.

Isn't there an old proverb that says something like
"its an ill wind that blows no good"

This weather is freaky. I was riding in a tshirt this morning around 9:30 and I had actually broken a sweat(trying to keep Cowboy at a trot LOL) and at 4:30 I was bundled up feeding the horses in a blizzard. Crazy! My hubby is on the vol. Fire Dept and there are accidents coming across the pager constantly so be careful gys!

You know it's cold and windy when Rebel's cowering behind the barn, dunking his tail in the stock tank.

The electric was off when I got home from work - lines blown down. One of my 2 Bradford Pear trees was split down the middle... They are beautifull trees, but the storms always get them eventually - they're branches are just too dense and catch too much wind.

Cascy, I passed about 3 metal barn roofs alongside the road betwen Morrilton and Wonderview on 95...

Wow the wind just blew through here like crazy! Our collie is afraid of storms so I was trying to let him in and couldn't even get the front door open. I had to wait in between gusts to finally get it open, boy was he glad to get in the house.

This really is crazy. The weather teased us this morning with 60 degrees, sunshine, and singing birds. Then about noon thunderstorms, rain, and hail. Then by 3:00 it's hurricane force winds, sleet, snow, and 30 degrees. Now it is in the low teens with below 0 wind chill. I just wish it wouldn't do that...now I'm even more bummed. I can't wait for warmer weather. Husband jokingly said "I think we've had every type of weather possible today"....I think the only thing we missed was a heatwave!

Yep, we got it here in OK too. We woke up to the roof of one of our run-ins in pieces out in the pasture. The poor horses were terrified all huddled in the corners. Poor things.

What the heck is going on with this weather anyway?

Went to a painting class this morning and took a load of stuff into class at 10:30, chatted for a while and went to get the rest of my stuff and the temp had droped at least ten degrees in 15 minutes. It was 62 at 10:00 and 30 at 12:30 in Joplin. NASTY. Tomorrow warmer and Thursday SNOW! Give us a break. Two ice storms, January tornados and yoyo temperature with wind just ain't fair. Be safe everyone

Over 150 Iowa schools dismissed early today, but one school really got the unfair treatment. They cancelled at 9:30, but then determined it wasn't safe enough for students to ride busses home. So? Lockdown! They aren't letting the busses run until the wind dies down, even if it goes all night. Man, I'm glad I don't teach in that district!

We noticed this morning that the tin is off of our hay shed so we have to fix that before the rain/snow or whatever starts tonight/tomorrow or whenever.

Local tv weather says we will get up to 10" of snow tomorrow.
Local radio station weather says we will get up to 3" of snow tomorrow.

In my next life, I am gonna be "accu-scrappie".
