Selling Bunny
I thought I'd post her here too. I have decided to sell my mare Bunny. With all the rain husband hasn't had a lot of work and going into winter it's starting to make me nervous...
Bunny is one of my personal horses. Yes, we do have others, most of which are "company" horses but we also each have a few that are "ours". To help get a little extra money (in our checkbook v.s. the company checkbook) and more importantly - Bunny's well being I have decided to sell her. Here's a bit of info on her: Her name is Red Jet Bunny she is 4 years old. Her AQHA # is 4768224. She is Doc Quixote, Roosters Joe, and Little Kilebar on the top side. Her dam is a daughter of Sail On Bunny ($908,980 in earnings) who is a son of Bunny Bid and she is Bright Jet on the bottom side. So that makes her cowhorse and foundation bred on the top and all running bred on the bottom. Here is a link to her pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/red+jet+bunny This mare is the sweetest and most laid back mare. She is quiet and doesn't get in a hurry about anything. I have had her since she was a yearling with the intentions of riding her a bit and then breeding her to my stallion. I gelded my stallion this summer so I won't be needing her for a broodmare and with all the others we have she keeps getting put on the back burner to ride. We have ridden her a couple of times and she did wonderfully! She has had a lot of ground work when she was younger and the saddling and riding was no big deal to her at all. She is going to be super easy to train. She is such a sweet natured mare and really cute too. I hate to see her just standing around and I'm not doing a darn thing with her. I had planned on riding her this summer and fall. I had her in the barn and was starting to work her but she got a hoof abcess in June (that came out at the hairline). We got her over that, then turned her back out in the pasture waiting for it grow out. We have been weaning babies lately and I don't have the stall space to bring her back in. I feel guilty that she is standing around while I have the "company" horses that needs attention. She needs someone to love her and fuss over her. Yes, I'll miss her, but if she has an owner that will do something with her and love her that is what would be best for her. That to me is more important than the money. She is a really pretty mare. She is red roan with a lighter - sort of a strawberry blonde colored mane. She has the cutest face and very loving expression. With her extemely laid back nature I really can't see her being a barrel horse. She would be well suited for western pleasure (or similar discliplines) since she is a laid back, slow moving horse and she has a naturally low/level headset. She would also be a great cross on the more "hot" barrel or speed stallions that need a quieter type mare to cross with. She is about 14.2 hands tall right now and still growing. I don't expect her to get alot taller - maybe an inch or two but she should fill out quite a bit in the next year. She has been out in the pasture and not pushed in any way. She is super easy to catch, lead, tie, load, haul, trim feet, de-worm, etc. She is sound and healthy. I have her priced pretty cheap - $550, but a good home is a must, no traders please. I will e-mail pictures on request, serious inquiries only please. Last edited by lopintoo : 10-21-2009 at 12:28 PM. |
