Mare For Sale To Good Home

We took in this mare for some friends of ours that need to sell her. We don't have a use for her and don't need another project horse right now so I thought I'd offer her up to Horsetopian's first.

Her pedigree can be seen here: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/blackburn+kris

She is a solid bay no white markings. She does show countershading and has thrown three grullas when bred to a grulla from what I have been told. She came directly off of the Bonnie Bennett estate sale in South Dakota as a yearling. I was told that she had 60 days of training as a four year old but hasn't really had anything done since then as far as training goes. She does lunge very well and seems okay with saddle and bridle but that is as far as we've gone with her. She is extremely quick on her feet, could certainly be a penning or smaller barrel horse with the right person to work with her.

Definitely an easy keeper! Seems to have good hard black feet, decent bone, etc. I would say she stands right around 14'2" hands but is pretty stocky in build. She does have a scar on her face from when she was halter broke and is a tad shy about ropes and stuff swinging around her head but that can be worked with.

I'm not a foundation guru but she has to be pretty darn close to all foundation breeding, she sure looks and acts the part.

If you are interested in her shoot me a pm! Price is totally up in the air, we'd just like to get what we have into her so far out of her (gas, trim, and feed).

The height is certainly not an issue. She is well under 15.1 hands!

We might be interested in a trade too. Dave's neice needs a good quality western saddle of her own. A larger 15 or average 16". She's nearly 6' tall already!

Still got her and she still needs to find a home.

If anyone is interested in her let me know and we can talk.

We turned her out in the big pasture with the main herd so I can say that she isn't a dominant lead type of mare. She hasn't a mark on her, pretty much stays on the edge of the herd and stays out of trouble. Hasn't challenged anyone for position at all yet.
