Plans for the Fourth?

So, what will everyone be up to this holiday weekend?

We're mixing work and play; going to spend some time at the lake and have a barbeque, but also going to bale hay. Wheeee!

I'll be home on the 4th - probably doing yard work.

I'm going horse camping on Saturday and Sunday. We're hoping everyone uses their fireworks on Friday and keeps Saturday night nice and quiet.

Let's hope the weather is as nice as they're predicting, dry and not too hot!

We're going to watch my qh Rusty be rode in a parade, start replacing drywall in the basement and mowing hay.

I'm hoping to hear that one of the two people that are looking at Rusty buys him. One person is looking for a re-enactment horse - he has the looks and has had gun shot
/ fireworks around him without a problem If he gets sold I may go look at some horses

I'm going to spend some quality time in the saddle with my new girl. I'll post pics on Monday. I'm so excited because our next door neighbors have 110 acres and very well manicured riding trails. They told us we could take some of the fence out between our properties and hook on to their trails. We've got friends coming to stay tomorrow night with their horses. It should be a good time.

Everybody have a safe 4th!

For the 15th consecutive year we're going with friends to their lake cabin. I love cabins--other people's cabins that is. All the fun, none of the work or property taxes!

Sheri - that is really nice that you're going to have a great place to ride!!! I hope you have a great gathering this weekend!

Hopefully I'll get some riding time in even if I have to ride one of my other qh

Too funny Corp Cowgirl........
We are doing alittle work and a little play. Plan on taking the horses trail riding at our local Rush River park.
Will no doubt be PACKED like the Memorial Weekend was.

Gerald works - of course, but I'm going home and I'm going to play with the horses, take Schoenie for a walk. I may get roped into bar-b-queing for his kids like I did last year but I so much as sense that happening I'm gonna get a pizza and Schoen and I will high tail it to the back 40 and be conveniently missing

Hey! NO BAR-B-Q~ YAY!!! I got to play with Peachie and ride Buster. For some reason I can't get the saddle to 'stick' so I rode the Bus bareback AND THEN my son Bobby came up to Marcell and we went fishing Sat! We had A BLAST! No pictures cuz we used a rubber raft I bought at Kmart. Didn't want to take a chance on losing the thing. Bob is 6ft tall so he could sit across it and lean his back against one side while dangling his legs off the other. Me, I'm only 5'3" so it was like laying back in a bathtub. Not very comfortable for casting a line, couldn't always see where it was going

Bob caught SO many fish, he was amazing. Green was the color for fishies. Oh it was so much fun. We laughed at our own silliness. He's one of my most favorite people in the whole world!
