Looking for...

2 things

I am just putting feelers out, kind of interested in a short, wide horse. Training level is negotiable it would depend on price/distance/etc. Something lower to the ground but really beefy

Also wondering if anyone can recommend any WI horse trainers?

Thanks!

There is an old type morgan cross at the barn where I board. It is in Lake Geneva and I know that is a little haul for you. This horse is well broke, and has worked cattle. I know that they are not asking very much for her. And there is a trainer at the barn. But like I said, it is a little bit of a distance for you.

Are you looking for trainers within a certain distance from where you live?

I used to have a pony that fit that description...wide, beefy and close to the ground. Lucky for me because I spent a lot of time on the ground.

Talk to Jeremy about training. He's just south of Shawano.

Maybe he'll know of a horse for sale like you're looking for.

I board with Jeremy. I will probably use him for Mystique, but he seems so busy with show season and such right now I thought he might not want to take on another one. He doesn't seem be very fond Arabs much so I wasn't sure if he really wanted to work with her. I know he would, but I thought I'd check around and see what else is available in case he's too busy to do it for a while.

Yeah, I'd prefer not to have to haul her more than 2 hours. Less if I have to go north Fond du lac is about as far south as I'd want to go, which is 2 hours-ish for me.

You're almost on the IL border, right?

ya, I am thinking that might be too far for you. Green Bay is about 4 hours from here. But she is a nice mare. This barn has quite a few horses for sale. They also have a Quarab Gelding. I was gonna buy him, but I couldn't get my mare sold.

I have a 14.1 mare that is about as wide as a house...she's 17 and got some arthritis though - so it would depend on what you'd need her for..
