Anyone looking for well-broke reg. Qh gelding?

Since I may have found a Palomino gelding (I LOVE Palominos) I am putting out feelers to see if anyone might be interested in my current gelding. He is a reg. 14 yo QH gelding that is well broke. He's about 15.1 hh, sorrel with a blaze and 2 white socks. I have had him about 2-3 years. He is traffic safe and great on trails. He will ride in the front, middle or back, doesn't mind water at all, stands great for the farrier and for saddling/mounting. You can walk up to him in the pasture with halter in hand. He's current on his shots, worming, and feet trimming.

I had him to a trainer a month ago to help him "lock on" a bit more since he has been a bit stand offish and that has helped. The trainer also worked on getting him to load in the trailer better (he wasn't bad but it was annoying) and he has been loading great. He has had a problem with shots (yearly vacs) in the past; however, the trainer worked with him and thinks he will take a shot fine now.

I will provide phone numbers for my vet, farrier and the trainer who recently worked with him. I previously considered selling him because we hadn't been able to connect, but now that's better and the only reason I'm considering it now is because I may have found a Palomino that I've been looking for for about 10 years.

Pm me for pics or other questions.

He sounds a like a great gelding. If I had the money, I'd be on my way to pick him up. I am sure you won't have any trouble getting him sold.

He really is a super horse. I have waivered back and forth so many times about selling him because we hadn't connected. He's never shied at anything on a trail ride even when a deer ran right out in our face once And since breaking my hips I really need a safe ride!!! I've had so many people - including trainers - who said I was crazy to sell him and that he was a great horse.

Then I bought my granddaughter's grade gelding from a trainer and liked how he got him to "lock on" and had him sacked out great so I thought I would have him work on those things with my qh, Rusty. Plus Rusty was slow to get on a trailer and didn't like shots/twitch, so I had him work on that too. Well now Rusty is asking for attention a lot more frequently than before, you can put a blue tarp inbetween his front and back legs, over his head, etc., and he gets right on a trailer. The guy also worked with him on shots and we're not sure if the horse is able to figure out who vets are or what because he simulated giving him a shot without the needle with absolutely no problem

So I might be crazy to sell him. But my dream horse really is a Palomino.

Question What do you think he's worth?

I guess I should also be asking what he's worth???

He is traffic safe as we live on a busy gravel just a mile off of the interstate and I ride him up the gravel then on a county highway to get to the back side of our farm. We live right beside a county park with a boat dock and get semis, boat trailers, large tractors, etc., going up and down the road all day. He stands tied all day, has been on overnight campouts without a problem, stands great to be saddled/mounted (he'll walk right over to a step so I can get on), and goes right through water. He'll ride off on his own away from a group without one ounce of fight. One trainer told me he is one of the rare horses that is truly neck reined as he will start to turn as soon as he feels the rein on his neck.

I wouldn't call him bombproof but I have put several beginner and first time riders on him without any problem what so ever.

The only issues I can think of is that still small question about the shots.

One trainer told me he was worth $3000-4000 and that was before I had this most recent trainer work with him.

This is him with my sister - He's standing a bit sideways because she was trying to get his head pulled around

He's standing funny in this pic too but I was just trying to get a pic of my new saddle on him and wasn't paying enough attention to him

I can get better pics of him as soon as it dries up around here!

Does this mean I have to hurry and get a vet check and coggins done ASAP?

You never know I'm still having trouble sleeping because I'm thinking about Mac

I have had several beginners and a couple of first timers on my QH without any problem. While he is very well broke and has never bucked, I would not consider him bombproof - I have a hard time saying that about any horse (although my Palomino was).

I'm still trying not to get too anxious or get my hopes up too much. This really has to come from God
