Used T-posts? WI

We are moving soon and will have alot more acreage, so I am asking a ton of people locally if they know of anyone with used T-posts for sale, and thought I would ask on here as well.
I am in central/N.central WI so around Lincoln County, Marathon County, Maybe Portage County as well...Oneida...Around that area.
If ya know of anyone wanting to get rid of a bunch...cheap..somewhat cheap...let me know...
Thanks in advance..

I don't know anyone in your area, but maybe you can advertise in the news paper or watch for auctions (becarefull sometimes at auctions they go for money than brand new ones)..
Good luck.. I know that we need a bunch more too, but I have a feeling we'll have to buy new ones.. *sigh*..

I had the same idea! It's been over a year and no luck finding any. I have found auctions to have old type-rusty tposts that sold for MORE then you can buy them brand new.
I had found an ad on craigslist, but did not reply because I have not had time to deal w/ it. But you might want to check there.

the price on steel has gone way up. I don't think you will have much luck finding anything cheap right now. Runnings the t post went up to about 6 bucks each, they said it would be cheaper to buy wood posts now. Gates and feeders went way up at runnings too. Auctions we're way crazy last week, old steel stuff was going crazy too, cultivators and old plows went really high.

Wooden landscaping posts are a whopping $2 a piece at Lowes...If I ever need any posts - those are what I'll be buying...They are 8 feet tall and 3' into the ground should be deep enough. The real job is digging and tamping - but to be honest I'd much rather do the work then pay the money!

Well, I'm having alittle luck....I bought 25 used T-posts for $2 a piece. Then a friend is going to ask her grandpa if he wants his fencing taken down..(they used to have horses and no longer do) She said they probably will sell them..somewhat cheap... not sure how many they have though. I will just keep my ears open and see if I can hussle up some more. Otherwise I will just use what I have here at the farm and what I continue to buy and when I find more...then I will fence more. Hopefully...
