AQHA mare for sale

I had a falling-out with my dad who no longer wants to keep her and my mom doesn't have enough fence up yet for my horse, Rosa. Although she was for sale before, I'm getting desparate to sell her now.

I'm asking $1000 or best offer, and that's negotiable to the perfect home. She's good for farrier and vet. I rode her twice this spring so far and her walk and jog are great... quiet and nice-paced and all on a loose rein. Her whoa is excellent and she's very soft in the mouth. Her lope is still fast, but with some consistent riding she will get to where she was last summer.

She still needs work, though, and I'm not selling her as a finished horse.

She's on allbreedpedigree.com, look up Rosas Zip

Please, if you know of anyone looking, I really need a place for her to go.

(((hugs))). Is there anybody else that could take her temporarily or a place to board her until the fencing issue at mom's is resolved?

I am sorry you are having to sell her so cheaply. I had my mare for sale too, but took her off the market because the prices here in Wisconsin are really down. What big city in Wisconsin are you near? Maybe we could help you find a temporary place to keep her.

Well, we're working on the fences at moms. There used to be cows there, so all the fence was barbed wire . I don't want to introduce any horses to each other in barbed wire fences, as that's a recipe for disaster. We have two sides of the fence done, and should have enough up to at least have a temporary pen after a couple full days of fencing work. I haven't talked to my dad, as I've been ignoring his calls, and I don't think he'd actually do anything to her so she'll stay there until we can get those fences up at moms. My dad has a terrible anger problem, and when he gets mad, it all hits the fan.

This all stemmed from my sister, and of course I get dragged in the middle of it and my dad blew.

I really need a dead-head old plodding trail horse instead of a younger one like Rosa with no trail experience. Unless I can get Rosa sent out for training, I haven't used her outside the ring since she has only been in arenas, and since I cannot run games, riding in an arena gets pretty boring. I'm not supposed to train, and it frustrates me to no end

I would actually love to work on a trade like that. I don't know how to advertise something like that though. On her ads I do say I will trade, but maybe outline more what I'm looking for? How should I go about advertising that?

I would put it in simple terms in the ad... that she is a horse not suited to your current riding style, and is for sale to the right home, or you would consider a trade for a been-there done that sound horse that can do trails and fun shows..

Be sure to emphaisize size, training, etc.. that you are looking for.. you will still get some goofy replies.. Goes with the territory I am afraid..

I'm kinda late to this Barrel, but I too am sorry that you are in this predicament. I wish I could help you out. And I wish you were able to really do what you want to do with her. She sounds like she has excellent potential. My best wishes go out to you
