Teddy is for Sale UPDATE--SOLD!!

We have come to the decision that our gelding must go. He is not the right match for our family. There is a better person out there somewhere for him. If you are interested our know someone. He is a 7yr old appendix quarter horse, he is 15.3h about 1050lbs. is up to date on everything and is very lovable. He is a bay. He is suppose to go to the trainer next weekend to work out some issues so Iam asking 2000 for him but if someone wants to take him before he goes to the trainer for his refresher then I am willing to neg.

Do you have more information on him?

Is he registered? If so what is his pedigree?

How much training, what are his issues, etc.

I'd be glad to pass on his info if I hear of someone looking.

He is testing his rider with little happy bucks and then rides off fine. He is toooooo attatched to my mare and so just started this 2 weeks ago. He used to be a trail horse and ridden more but my husband does not ride much so I think he just needs to be ridden with more consistency and a more confident rider. He has camped and is trail and road safe. We have also started working with him on neck reining and field trials/obstacle corse.

He is now at the trainer and still for sale. The trainer feels that he really just needs to be ridden. He needs to know his job and know who is the boss. If anyone knows someone that is looking he really is a great horse and very good looking. He has great conformation and is quite the love bug.

The trainer called last night and said Teddy has done excellent and is ready to come home. He said he has wonderful ground manners, which we already knew, never offered to do anything naughty and even rode him the other day with just a halter and lead rope. So he is still for sale if anyone knows someone who would be interested that would be great.

Thanks version! I went to see him twice now and he is getting fat. He is being very well fed at the trainers. I rode him and he did very well . He responded without any attitude or anything just went along as asked. The trainer has been riding him out in town and on the trails. I am going to see if he wants to ride him in the parade this weekend and see how he does with that. That will be one more plus to him if he can ride him and he does well. He is so mello and just walks around following you everywhere. They said he is a good horse and has alot of potential.

Isn't there anybody that knows someone that could be looking for a horse that is truely pretty awesome but just had some spring issues to work through. My dad just had another heart attack yesterday and I could possibly be looking at having to go to Louisiana to see him soon. The money from the sale of my horse could be usefull in making that happen.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I just got rid of a gelding that sounds a lot like Teddy. Have you tried advertising him locally?

Well after 7 weeks on the market---Teddy has finally sold. I am happy with the girl he is going to as she has taken lessons, her boyfriend has a horse and knowlege of horses, and she is going to take the time to get to know Teddy on the ground for 2 weeks and then work with a trainer to teach him english riding. She thought that he was a little rusty and could use some more tuning up, but this is her first horse so I think that working with a trainer is good for both of them. My trainer is very sad to see him go. I have cried 3 times already about if I made the right decision to sell him. I rode him yesterday bareback a fell back in love with him, but he is suppose to be my husbands and he is to leary of him and won't ride him so we chose to sell. I know he will be going to a good home, but it is still hard to let him go. He will only be about an hour from me so I will be able to go see him and check on him once in a while.

Congratulations!
It's always hard to see them go but at least he's going to a great new home.
