FREE LEASE on Percheron Gelding

We have Big Ben - he's a 6 year old 18.3 hand tall Percheron. He is 6'3" at his withers with a measuring stick/tape measure. One big fella. He is broke to ride only. He does trails and roads without fail. By himself or others, will lead or follow. Ben does have OCD in his rear hock from growing too fast and can not be used to "work" he can be taught to drive and used that way but he can not be used over and over to plow etc.. with. He is an easy keeper for a horse this large. We are not looking to "sell" him as we want to always know where he is and have some say in his use etc.. So we're looking to lease him off the farm on at least a year contract - will consider longer by all means. He is a dappled gray and something else to have around. Very gentle and loving. He trailers, pickets, bathes you name it he does it. His bridle will go with him (as it's ginormous) but not his saddle. he does take a regular FQHB saddle with 7 inch gullet. His girth can go with him also. If you interested in coming to meet Ben and interviewing with us for his placement -please shoot us an email at <please PM for contact information>

If he wasn't so HUGE, I'd lease him for my friend to ride! I don't think she'd get on him though.

Ben Huge - he's a puppy dog! He is intimidating though with that big butt. We had someone come look at him Friday and their coming back on Wednesday for another introduction and interview then we'll possibly set up an appointment to go see their farm etc.. I hate to do it but man you can only ride SO many and hubby has limited limited time to ride and his other mount is partial leased so pays for himself. This dang economy - hopefully it will turn around someday!!

I hear ya! All three of mine are leased out, even Wendy who is for sale, but my lessee is fine with riding another horse if she sells. I went riding with Martha yesterday and she said she came to look at Ben. I hope it works out. Martha is a good person. He'll be taken care of there!

I don't know if I would beable to climb up on him, even with being on the top rail of my fence Hopefully your person will work out.

Many people aren't intimidated by size, I once knew of a 19+hh percheron and a little 4ft girl was able to get on, without a mounting block. Heck, though, he was one of the biggest horses I've ever seen

THANKS! Your absolutely correct - you could have put a 2 year old on Ben and he'd babysit all day. Just a gentle giant he is!
