How Much Hay?

Just wondering how much hay you all put up for the winter? Do you get it all at once or throughout the year?
I plan for 150 bales per horse but will probably get a little more since I have the room to store it and always know people who run out in the spring. I'll be getting 1500+ bales this summer. I'll have all my barns full by October 1st when hubby starts his hunting!

Im buying 40 bale a week all summer. So hopefully I will have about 350 bale for winter. Which should hold me until first cut next spring. I hope.

We take in about 150 round bales more if we have more stock to feed and 600 square bales then with luck 100 bales of straw. 1/2 our rounds will be off the field today and hopefully most our squares will be off in 2 weeks. It's a new field so we are a bit behind.

We get all the hay/straw we can early in the year so we don't have to worry about where it comes from. We've had a standing contract for rounds with one person for several years now. With the squares we've been sort of bouncing around to get the best hay at the best deal and now we've got our own field for squares.

Hoping to have about 400 bales put up by October. We don't have a lot of storage but plan on only having 3 horses for the winter so that should hold us over til first cutting
Went to the hay auction Monday and got about 50 pound square bales for $2.25 -- first cutting but nice hay. We are hoping to get more monday-- I would love to load up on it just in case prices go sky high like last year

I need some hay, like 1400 bales! At those prices I may try my hand at the Wayland auction. I think Ravenna is too far from me.
