Old Mare-tennessee walker

I have a 19 year old mare that I would like to rehome. She is very sweet easy to catch and ride. She has been used for a brood mare most of her life and I would like her to go to a retirement home. Well some where that she could be happy and used occasionly or just a pasture puff. I have her listed at $200, but I would give her to a forever home.

That's an interesting attitude "get rid of"? Do you not like her? How long have you had her and does she ride? Post a little more about her and maybe someone on here will check in with you.

I guess I should have worded that differently. I will keep her if a suitable loving home is not found. It's not like I will take her to a sale and just unload her. But I have several young horses so she gets just a little attention everyday at feeding time so I would like her to go to a home that would maybe do a little more with her. She does ride, my step son had ridden her her at the house and we went on a small trail ride one day.

I will check around with everyone I know. Have you posted an ad for her? I could forward the ad to several friends that have walking horses.

The "get rid of" kinda struck me as rude and having no respect for the animal.

Good luck on finding a good home. Do you have any photos?
