I used a Yahoo groups message board to find a hauler for both a KY>FL and a FL>KY trip.
This is the yahoo group: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/hitch-hiking_horses/ She can join for free, post her need (dates & horse details, with zip codes for to and from), and she'll get emailed quotes from shippers that can make the trip. She can also look through the posts for shippers already making that trip with open boxes. Here's the link to the site of the last haulers we used who are located in IN. (I used them to ship 2 horses and 3 goats from FL to KY.) http://erinwillow.tripod.com/ The prices were incredibly reasonable, the driver was an excellent horseperson, and the whole situation went flawlessly. divinemisselle was on the receiving end, and can also verify these opinions. (We got a chuckle about some of the services they offered. A simple transport is all I used, and was never pressured to buy any of the extras.)
