My red dun Stallion, Heza Dun Legend is For Sale!~Updated Offspring Pix!

I am going to sell my handsome boy, Heza Dun Legend, strickly because we are getting back to the basics of breeding appy to appy and we already have a nice stud prospect here at our ranch so Mr QH has to go....before this Fall....he's the sire to my Avatar pictured stud colt....(buckskin roan)....out of a bay roan appy mare....it's pretty cool that so much color comes from a Qh sire!

Legend is a 4 year old red dun stallion, 14.2HH (measured him today) he has a kind eye, gentle with the mares and smart enough to know better til the time is right and is very quick and agile when dodging them...hehehe

Legend is N/N Herda and has no Impressive....he is 78.223 % foundation and is AQHA incentive fund enrolled and listed with the ApHC. He is sound and healthy....he is up-to-date on worming...and no major blemishes...

Legend is currently re-breeding some of our mares before he goes.....he will only go to someone with stallion experience....I have had this guy since he was 15 months old and broke him to ride at 2-1/2 years old but have not been on him since last Spring....he has just been pasture breeding for us....I'm sure he will do fine on hand breeding with a little adjustment here and there to bring him back to par....

When we halter him, he's a totally different horse, he minds pretty well to be a stallion without a stud chain...

He is very vocal, he talks to the mares all the time and this stallion knows when each and every one of his foals are born...he runs the fence line screaming.....he sticks his head through the 2x6's to get a better look at them about 40 feet away from the foaling barn and paddocks....he just murmurs real low to the older babies that come up directly to the electric fence with mom..

This boy has much respect for our electric fence...8 joules! He has never gotten out, never hit the fence even while getting excited with mares on the other side....he has not ran with geldings since he started breeding so I don't know what he would do there...probably don't need to be around them just my opinion.... a stallion will be a stallion....

Anyways, he has sired some awesome babies, whether or not they are appys or QH's, they each and every one carry that legendary beautiful, small head, big, kind eyes, and are very smart and muscled up....all have had color when bred to our appys....and he's throwed 2 red dun QH babies (out of a bay and a gray) and a red dun with blanket appy, a sorrel roan filly, a buckskin leopard stud colt with varnish (roan) and a red and white full blanket with few spots stud colt, and a buckskin filly with white splash on hips that didn't make it out of the sack....

He has done his part each and every time.....and when a mare is in with him, he allows her to eat first or maybe it's because he's a bit of a chicken...he's also so proud looking when he's prancing around the mares....and you should see him do his thing in the roundpen....he holds that head perfect with chin tucked and is very consistant with his movement...

He is very easy to catch, just call his name! He's being offered for sale for $3000....

Here's his pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/heza+dun+legend

Pix of all his kids are here-see below!

Thanks,
~Crystal
