Just saw on the news

Some guy in Putnam county had horses and donkeys that are emaciated. He is going to try to sell them before his court date. He had more grass on his place than we do!!! My horses are on the plump side. He was blaming the drought, etc. and said they could go anywhere in Putnam county and find other animals in the same shape.

Hello!!!! Ever heard of feeding grain? Good Lord all mighty!!! What is wrong with people?!

It is happening all over the place. We had an extension agent here who had underweight horses and one dead horse on his property. Isn't the extension agent suppose to be setting an example?

I saw news about dead horses. I agree that if you can't afford to feed them you need to see that they get to better home. I am glad my daughter could take mine to her place and help me-I was feeding them twice a day and they had hay but neighbor felt they weren't being fed properly and griped to animal control. I know if I was in position that I felt I couldn't take proper care of them I would sell them or let my daughter have them.
