I am going to post our little Possum for sale in here.. Here is a link to his ad.. This colt is going to be big - 15.2 to 16 hands - good bone, nice hip, and the sweetest disposition.. With his build and movement, he could do WP at an open show level, even HUS - and would be excellent for team roping or penning - especially for some tall person..

Let me know if anyone is interested in him - he is UTD on everything, and leads, loads, ties, halters, grooms, clips, and is great with this feet.. Just a delight to handle..

How about for breeding?

While Moon has not been bred (I don't have mares) I would be willing to stand him to outside horses. I would most likely allow live cover for draft mares but light mares we would have to look into on-site AI for their own safety.

He holds registration with the Shire Horse Society in England and is approved for breeding with them. Foals out of shire mares can be registered with SHS(if mare is also registered SHS), American Shire Horse Association, and Canadian Shire Horse Association. Crossbreds can be registered shire sport horse in the US and maybe with the English registry also (I'm not sure if they register shire crosses or not.) Foals with patterns out of registered paint mares may receive Regular registration with the North American Spotted Draft Association, and solids from registered patterned paint mares can receive breeding stock papers. I believe some crossbreds can also be registered AWS still (not sure.)

I haven't advertised him but if there is interest I can see what I can work out.

Suppose I should add a few things...
Name: Black Forest Ideal Moonshadow
Pedigree: By Earnshaw Ideal the 1997 Supreme Champion at the largest shire show in the world, beating out around 64 other stallions. Out of Fox Valley Gabrielle a proven hitch horse (by Ox Kill King.) Pedigree Link
Breed: English Shire
Height: 17.2 at last official measurement but I believe he has grown since then.
Color: Black with sabino markings (4 whites, blaze and belly spot.) There are no known chestnuts in his pedigree so has a good possibility of being EE but no test has been done to confirm it.
About him: He is very sweet and laid back but still athletic. It doesn't matter if he has ever met a person or not, he will still let you walk up to him when he is laying down. He has only done local level showing due to lack of time on my part but has always been in the ribbons. He has great conformation, great bone size and quality, nice thick silky feathering, and wonderful hooves...all of which runs in his family. He has no history of OCD.

I had a mare from this stallion - Mr. Golden Bonanza- and she had the best personality and disposition. I loved her dearly. She was calm and smart and loved being around people. It is my understanding this stallion gifts his offspring with these wonderful personality traits. I wish I could get him. But since I can't, congratulations to whoever ends up with him. I'm sure he will be awesome!

We have too many horses already.. (I keep telling myself that..over and over ;o)... But we really do have more horses than any two people need to have and I am soon to take on another one - my first attempt at training for saddle.

As much as I'd love to have him, I can't justify another just now. Plus, we know NOTHING about having a stallion and are mostly mare people. We only have 2 geldings - about to get the third - and they are all little guys. A donkey, a shetland type pony and the new one is a pony-sized horse I guess..lol.. He may just be a pony too, I'm not certain. I am afraid if we got even 1 more that we would not be able to ride them all enough to keep them in shape. I do like that stallion though (Mr. Golden Bonanza).

Are you planning to breed to him again? I'd love to have a filly by him at some point. Just can't do it right now.

No, probably not, I bought 2 mares that were bred to him, and thats how I got the young'ins.
If he doesnt sell before spring he will be gelded, at this time, he has no idea hes a stud colt and hes stalled right next to the girls. Hey Ive got all these horses and theres only 1 of me.. thats it, I do it all by myself...

But I TOTALLY understand, but should you change your mind I am very flexible, payments, or whatever someone needs.

Also ALL of my horses are mares/fillies -only had 1 man on the place(stallion (passed away in July) now this little guy, so I know about being an all "girls pad" too..

I think he is a nice looking stud too. I have a few grand baby pics but nothing of his except my mare as a 9yr old. I may be able to dig some up in a couple of days.

I think he is still out for stud though he's getting up there. He has an interesting life story. If I can find the link, I'll post it too. Just now going to get a pony gelded..peeeuuwww... hate these parts of things. Hurts just to think about it.

That little filly is precious. I like your mare too!

My mare "izzy" registered Eternaly Golden had to be put down earlier this year after she suffered a broken leg. She had gotten loose from my husband and jumped a ditch on the property and somehow broke her leg. It was a crushing blow.

Izzy was my first horse in so very many years. I did not get a chance to get any really good pictures of her. We don't have many flat places here to work with but here's a couple that I like. She had THE most wonderful personality and would test you but her heart wasn't really in it. She also was a wonderful protector of our new foal at the time. In fact, I think she would have stolen that foal given half a chance. She would always keep herself between the fence/road and that baby. The baby's mom could have cared less. She also reared up and was going to whack one of our angus cows (I saw her do the on 2 separate occasions) and they were not even close enough where I was worried yet! She was just a very smart and very loving creature and I still miss her.

This one is from before I owned her with one of her foals:
