Last spring we purchased a 98 ? Featherlite 3 horse slant load trailer with tack in back and sleeping area in front.
The trailer has some damage to the back and needs some welding. Our intentions were to fix it ourselves along with a friend who does all the welding and stuff. Well, here we are a year later and it doesn't look like we have the time to devote to getting the trailer finished. It makes me mad to see it sitting in the barn lot and I can't use it. So to stop any argueing

over the time frame I just want to sell it, with hopes of saving for another fixed one later on.
This is the info I know for sure, and I will post pics as soon as I can, remember I am no mechanic lol. NO HORSES WERE Killed in the trailer. (That was a biggie to me)
Because it was wrecked it has no title, whether or not one can be obtained I don't know.
It needs two axles which we have found can only be purchased through Featherlite for about 800. More searching might prove different. Hubby says that if a person could figure out how to fix the bent one then they'd only have to replace the one that is broken off. (I assume at the wheel)
Needs a fender, and one slant divider inside. The other divider is slightly bent and needs straightening.
The door to the front area (sleeping) needs a new latch and one of the drop down windows needs a new latch.
Several of the aluminum squares (3x3) need to be replaced along the top part of the back half of the trailer.
The back double doors need to be re-aligned and possibly straightened.
The roof has some dents and holes in the metal where it appears that when the trailer was overturned the horse was standing on the roof.
The trailer is not in bad shape, and is VERY fixable. I even hate to post it b/c I really wanted to get it fixed and have a nice trailer for cheap because we all know what a Featherlite runs for.
The major thing it needs to be moved is an axle. Once that is in place someone could take it to a welder and have it worked on. To bring it home, my husband had it lifted onto a heavy duty trailer and unloaded it with a front end loader (I think). But we do have the ability to get it loaded for you.
Please message me via pm or any questions post them here so others can see the info. I may have forgotten some important info.
