Grey mare and yearling buckskin gelding for sale...

I am listing these for the lady who bred her mare to Joe last year as this is one of his colts..
(pm either Gbarmranch or PVF for contact info personal contact info not allowed.)

The mare:
Quote:
Roanie has had extensive training. She has competed in team penning and has a whole 1 point with AQHA. She is very, very light and responsive. She gets a little hot with the team penning, hence only 1 point. She would be awesome as a trail mare. She is a wonderful broodmare that can be handled in any way you can imagine and she is great with the foals and with you handling them. She has had a total of 5 foals to date, but was left open because I did not want any more. She has great hard feet. She is up to date on shots, worming, trimming, etc. I have yet to find anything wrong with this mare, other than she eats like a horse, lol. She leads, loads, ties, and bathes without any problems. She is about 14.3..Roanie's pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bunny+blue+bell
The yearling:
Quote:
Jammer's pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/pb+iz+jammin

Jammer will be a year old this month and is gelded. He leads, loads, ties, and is good with the farrier and the vet. Loves attention and is very smart, and very catty... He is buckskin, but he may go gray.
Mom and baby at just days old:

Well, it looks as if we may be bringing both of these horses home.. I will keep you posted. Loooooong story - financial issues - so they will remain for sale from here if we pick them up this weekend.

If anyone is interested, let me know.. I hate this for their owner, but at least she knows they will be well cared for until they find new homes..

Mare is a grand-daughter of Peponita, great grand-daughter of Genuine Doc, Peppy San and Gold Fingers (x Eddie Red Rose).. We will saddle her up and see how she does..

Colt is gelded, and a Joe baby..

It is official - they will be coming to our house on Saturday. Mare will be relisted for $1200, LFG, bred to Kaycee... and the colt will be listed for $1500 - Pat really likes him, so it won't break his heart if he sticks around for a while..

I will saddle up the mare and let anyone who is interested know how she rides. They need a new coggins, but are UTD on everything else..

I'll put the word out. Everyone around here sees me riding mine and seem to love the big grey quarterhorse mares.

And buckskins, heck around here you can't keep em. Actually I have a guy coming out this next week and he was looking for a buckskin colt.

She's only 14.3 - but has a nice build and has worked cattle. NOT a true beginner's horse from what Pam said - she is very well trained to the seat and leg, and when you ask, she will do what you asked her to do.. sometimes that doesn't work well for a beginner.

I will know more once I ride her myself. But yes, if someone is looking for a good mare, she seems like one. I will tell you she doesn't care for being stalled - she will weave - but in the pasture, she is fine (now all of this is what I have been told - she will have to be here for a bit before I know these things for sure)...

Val, do you know if the colt is going to be gray or stay buckskin?
(Asking hypothetically, since I'm totally unable to add to my herd, no matter how cute he is.)

He is a buckskin right now... but his face is pretty light with a few grey hairs..

But he may very well grey out later one... He is already 14.1 as a yearling.. We are keeping the mare for now, and listing the colt for $1500.. He is gorgeous..

Here is mom's pretty face..

we picked them up this afternoon, and he leads, loads, clips, halters easily - there are no holes in this colt so far.. How nice for a change to get one coming in that has all their manners at this age..

Probably - but it won't change his build.. or his disposition.. I can't get over how big he is.. He is the size of a 2 year old..

We are keeping the mare.. It will be interesting to see how she crosses on Kaycee if she produces big colts like this off of Joe..

Hopefuly she will also be fun to ride..
