Ice Storm '09'

I was just wondering how bad the rest of KY got the ice. We was out of electric from Jan 27th AM until Feb 9th PM. Here are some pictures I took from the house. It took my husband and the older kids about week to cut limbs and trees from the roads around here and all of our fences.

I posted pics of my place in Random Stuff. With 70 acres, fenced and cross fenced, I may get it all cleaned up by next year.

We were without power for 9 days.

Oh my gosh, you both had it worse than me! Our power was out for 4 days, and I thought I would die!

It got down to 40 degrees in our house! And I had to save the hot water for the horses' buckets, so we took showers at my mom's house--thank goodness her power was only out for 1 day! We bought a generator now, though, so we won't get stuck like that again!!
