Homesick! Please post pics.

Uggghh.. I'm in California. In San Jose. No horses, no woods, no fields, just concrete!

I've been here since the 13th and will be here until the 30th (my birthday)... I did not think I would get this homesick.

Could you KY/TN post some pics of my beloved home? Horses, dogs, woods, valleys, kitties, anything! My family back home wouldn't know how to use a digital camera and send pics if I told them step by step. Pweeeeeeze??

It's rainy and muddy here. And has recently been VERY cold! You would not like the pics I could take. Despite warming up, it is dreary. Enjoy San Jose and the weather while you can! I used to live in Mtn. View and Sunnyvale - both nearby San Jose. I loved it out there. If you can, go to a BBQ restaurant in Palo Alto. It's called Armadillo Willies. Best BBQ ANYWHERE!!!! Another good restaurant is Stuart Anderson's Black Angus. Very very good food and service but a bit pricey. One last one to check out is called Clarks Hamburgers I think. They have a nice unique set up that has a canvas covered eating area attached to the main building. Their burgers are huge and awesome. Have fun and Happy Birthday!!!

I'm sorry ISE.. I told you I'd post something and got so busy with everything that I totally forgot. So here you go. Pics of our new baby we took yesterday and a couple of nugget - one with gypsy in the background. They are too dark - the lighting wasn't great. Will try to get something better today and maybe some of the other mud balls. We've had a lot of rain here and raining again now.

Hi, I am sorry you are so homesick! I know how it feels. Here are some nature pics taken late summer/early fall, and a couple I took of the horses the other day. Hope they help! Happy birthday!

Ahhhhhh... Beautiful!

My mom tells me my horse is a total mudball. I never thought I would miss the things I do... roosters crowing at 3 in the morning... the guineas raising a fuss outside my window...

Those pics are great!

Clippity that foal just makes me melt! He looks so brand new!

Foxtrot--- Heartbreaker is very stunning! How do you handle all that hair?!

I am not so sure I can really handle all that hair...when we bought him, his mane was non-existant. Now I can understand why the previous owner cut it off!
Glad you enjoyed the pics.

Wow! Stunning horse that heart breaker! I like your mare's too. And your pics are very nice! I didn't think of posting from a time when the scenery was nicer to look at..duh

ISE, the foal is a 2 week old orphaned appy that my husband and I are bottle/bucket feeding. She is a little sweetie. I named her Joy. Ok.. here are some pics from better looking days. I have a rainbow too! Not as pretty as the double one Cali posted though. ;o)

The picture of the eggs! That was an awesome idea!

ISE will DEFINITELY be homesick by the time we get done here. Not sure if we are helping, or making it worse!

I miss having chickens and guineas running around my yard! We have to keep them up because of the critters.

Here is my neighbor's TWH

A praying mantis

Camo again, 5 months old

Clippity, I love your pics! Do you ever have guinea chicks available?

ISE, are you ready to come home yet?

Jeez! I was thinking the same thing about YOUR pics..lol.. Love those horses too. And the praying mantis looked to be posing..lol. Nice pics Cali!

We had some guinea babies last year. Some of ours got eaten by the hawks and coyotes. We have the rest locked up for now. I hope we get more this summer. I love their eggs!

I LOVE all the pics. I can't believe I miss our Guineas!

I've got so much work to do and for once I can't wait! Got a load of hay coming in the first morning I'm back.

One of the neighbors donkeys is lame I'll be taking him to the vet. Rudrah pierced his lip with a wire or something, mom says not to bad but might as well take him to the vet too.

I'm sooooo excited but pretty nervous about the plane tomorrow. Coming out here was my first plane expirence. So wish I could get on HT during the trip and browse everyones pics.

Thanks everyone for your nice thoughts and great pics. California is intresting and I'll probably come back to visit- but I can't wait to get home!
